WYOMING WINS CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS PREMIER LEAGUE FINAL
Wyoming's Premier League team has capped an almost perfect season by taking out the NSW Champion of Champions title following a hard-fought 2-1 win over Coffs United at Valentine Park in Sydney. The young and skilful Coffs team was clearly the best opponent that Wyoming had met this season. Like Wyoming they entered the final with an unbeaten record. Coffs dominated the game for much of the first half. However Wyoming's defence, as it's done all season, held out and the Tigers took the lead in the 38th minute when a pinpoint cross from Daniel Surridge was headed home by a diving Ben Wallington. The goal stopped the Coffs United momentum and the remainder of the match was evenly-contested. Coffs equalised in the 58th minute when a free kick took a deflection off a Wyoming defender and found the net. With the game into the final 10 minutes two critical pieces of play decided the title. First was a sensational save from Wyoming goalkeeper Andrew Bull followed in the 85th minute by the decider from a goalmouth scramble put away by defender Paul Jones.

Wyoming's win makes it the first time in the 40-year history of the Football NSW Champion of Champions competition that a Central Coast team has taken out the Premier League competition and leaves the Tigers with the remarkable record for the 2007 season of 22 wins and 2 draws from 24 matches. The Premier League squad has now an unprecedented six titles in the 2007 season: First Grade League Championship, First Grade Premiership, Reserve Grade League Championship, Reserve Grade Premiership, Premier League Club Champions and now Champion of Champions.
