GAME #11
vs TERRIGAL 4 (WON 2-1)
June 24, 2017
We played on a huge field today which was certainly going to test our fitness. It was a great battle between two evenly matched teams. Not for the first time this year, the other team scored first, but it wasn’t long before we switched on and started creating our own chances. The most impressive aspect of the game was that each of you are starting to understand how to play and why we do things. The marking, spreading out and passing improvements are really starting to show. In the end we were able to score two goals through Nate which came about from some great teamwork. Super proud of everyone. Final score 2-1
Trophy: Kye for playing his best game all year.
Award: Joel, same as Kye, playing his best game all year.

GAME #10
vs EAST GOSFORD 1 (WON 4-1)
June 17, 2017
I’m not sure what happened today but we forgot to play as a team. We started slowly and East Gosford turned up ready to play. At the end of the first half we sat down anf thought about what we were doing. We started to get to the ball first. We started to pass and we put pressure on their fullbacks who were playing long balls forward to the strikers wh owe forgot to mark in the first half.
Very proud of the second half and the never give up attitude we are developing. Again Nate scored after some quality build up play. Well done. Final score 4-1.
Trophy: Jackson for not giving up and putting pressure on the opposition
Award: Lincoln for great teamwork, running and enjoying himself.

Today we travelled up to Kulnura to play Mountains. We started off slowly and before long we were a goal or two down. We could see that this team was a strong side and it would take a huge effort to claw our way back into the match. Kane R refused to back down and put in a great second half, as did Kayn S with some strong defending. It was great to see us limit Mountains in the second half and even score a nice goal through Nate. Final Score 5-1

After a good training session during the week we we hoping to put what we learnt together on the pitch and we managed to score a great goal through Kayn. It wasn't long before Terrigal had scored a couple of goals of their own and we were struggling with the heat. Oscar and Kane were great in goals for us today and once again Joel Kye and Lincoln defended well. Aiden didn't give up even after getting knocked around and offered great support to Jackson and Nate up front who carried out some good attacks on goal. It was good to have Billy back who showed some fancy footwork to score a great goal.
Although we didn't win today its great to see everyone enjoy themselves.

GAME #4
vs AVOCA 1 (LOST 1-5)
April 29, 2017
Today was a tough day for the boys. Avoca started strongly and we found ourselves a couple of goals down. It didn't take us long to regather our composure and with Joel and Kye holding the backline strong we started to create some goalscoring chances. There was some great passing from Kane and Kye , while Aiden and Oscar really started to move the ball forward. we started the second half much better than the first with Jackson and Kayn really stepping up and inspiring the team Lincoln had his strongest game of the season hustling through lots of tackles. Nate scored a nice goal and was unlucky to hit the post twice.
While we didn't play too badly we need to remember to be in a position to receive passes. (not too far away). Well done guys.
This week Lincoln won the trophy for strong tackling and following up the ball. Nate won the award for listening to advice and improving his shooting technique.

GAME #3
vs KARIONG (WON 3-1)
April 22, 2017
Today was our first home game of the season against Kariong. Again with training washed out and both Billy and Jackson away we were going to need a big effort from everyone. In hot conditions we started slow but it didnt take long for us to put some passes together through Kayn, Kane and Aiden. Once again the defence held strong with Lincoln stopping Kariong's attack with great support from Kye. Nate made a couple of great saves in goal and then having a few chances to score in the second half. Joel showed his improvement with some great long passes and Oscar scored another nice goal to give us another win.
Kayn S. won the trophy today for his determination and always supporting his teammates. The certificate went to Kye for using the space down the sidelines to get around Kariong's defence. Its good to see the team improving and with some regular training its shaping up for a good season. Well done everyone!!

GAME #2
vs AVOCA 2 (DREW 0-0)
April 8, 2017
Today we travelled to Erina High School to play Avoca. We started off a little slow but quickly adapted to the pace of the game and started to put pressure on their goals. Nate and Oscar teamed up well with Kayn S. and Jackson working hard like always. There was great defence at the back with Kane R., Billy and Lincoln holding strong.
With Kye arriving just after half time he was straight into the action and we kept pressing towards their goal. Avoca put up a good fight towards the end of the game but some goal saving tackles by Joel and great goal keeping by Aiden stopped them from scoring.
Even though there was no score it was a great game to watch and good to see some excellent teamwork.
Today Aiden won the trophy for his great last minute save in goals after taking some big knocks in the first half and Jackson won the certificate by having a great attitude and did not stop trying all game.
Well Done guys!

After weeks of anticipation we finally had the chance to play for the first time this year. After all the rain we were relocated to Soccer 5's at Tuggerah and after a quick introduction the kids hit the field.
The boys quickly got into the game and Jackson, Kye and Joel were showing some excellent defending which was helped by some great goal keeping by Kane R. Soon after we had some great goals scored by Nate, Aiden and Oscar. Terrigal began to get back into the game and scored a couple of goals. Wyoming were quick to bounce back with Kayn S. displaying some good passing and tackling and kept running all game. With almost the last kick of the game Lincoln scored the final goal for the boys to start the year with a win. It was a great team effort with a big crowd watching and cheering all game.
