WYOMING WINS
RESERVE GRADE CENTRAL COAST CUP
Mar 18: Wyoming has taken out the
inaugural Reserve Grade Central Coast Cup with
a last gasp 1-0 over Berkeley Vale at Pluim
Park. The match was a fitting end to the new
competition with last season's Premier League
Reserve Grade grand finalists again winning
through to the decider. Wyoming dominated for
long spells of the match but failed to convert
a number of chances. Again replicating the
2011 grand final, the only goal of the match
was scored by Daniel Edwards with only two
minutes left in the second half of extra time.
The team has lost just one of its last 18
matches in all competitions. |

2012 MENS
PREMIER LEAGUE SQUAD
Feb 13: The 2012 Mens Premier League
squad has been named. With the addition of a
new MPL Third Grade competition this year the
squad has been expanded to 40 players and
presented the selection panel with the
extremely difficult task of narrowing the
squad down from the nearly 60 players who
trialled. With an average age of just 23 it's
one of the youngest squads on record and,
following on from taking out the 2012 Reserve
Grade premiership with an even younger team,
augurs well for the upcoming season which
kicks off at Pluim Park on the weekend of 31
March/1 April. Click here

NEW MEDIA LINK
Dec 31: We've added a new 'media' link
on the left-hand menu to include any
references to the club in print and online
media outlets. We start off with an article
from today's Sydney Morning Herald
about Matt Simon's transfer from the Mariners
to the Chunnam Dragons club in South Korea. As
the article mentions, Matt played his junior
club football with Wyoming in 1995 (U9) and
1996 (U10As) before moving on to
representative football with the Central Coast
and Manly. We'll be progressively updating the
page as new stories occur as well as with
interesting items from the past. If anyone has
anything of interest they can be sent to the
club's Website Administrator, Alistair
Kennedy, at web@wyomingfc.com.au.

RARE
FOOTAGE OF 1970 WYOMING TEAM DISCOVERED
Apr 15: In the course of researching the
Wyoming FC club history as part of our 40th
Anniversary celebrations later this year, we've
been able to obtain some film from a 1970 CCSA
Gala Day played at Adcock Park. The film goes
for around four minutes but we've captured a
short extract here. Our thanks go to the club's
first secretary, John Harris, for providing the
film. The quality isn't great but it's still an
invaluable addition to our club's history.

film. |
